FLINT — The Mott Community College (MCC) STEM Scholars Program has been selected to receive this year’s Liberal Arts Network for Development (LAND) Institutional Excellence Award. MCC was named co-recipient with Washtenaw Community College for the two college’s work developing STEM Scholars programs.
FLINT, Michigan— Flint native and Mott Culinary Arts Institute graduate Jeffrance Ford turned his love for Japanese culture and animation into a local hotspot. Tapping into his love for Japanese culture and animation, the 24-year old created Somas Ramen in 2019, a ramen shop dedicated to serving delicious noodles and cultural appreciation to the Flint community.
Vantrell “Krispy” Erving, 26, is no stranger to the grind. As CEO and founder of Say It Ain’t Krispy (SIAK), the rising entrepreneur and mastermind behind the 2018 fashion movement “Ancient Krispy Secret” stays focused in his “lab” creating the next sneaker sensation and enlisting jaw-dropping collaborations for Flint and his following in Beecher.
